Gestalt Psychotherapy Training

We offer a four year part-time training programme leading to a Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy. It consists of three elements: personal development, skills training and theoretical study. All three are taught within a framework of group experiential learning.

The Foundation Course

This first year provides a thorough introduction to the principles of Gestalt therapy theory and practice, and is the base on which the following three years are built. The course can also be treated as a stand-alone one year training for those who are interested in developing their counselling and therapy skills. It is an opportunity for you to learn about the Gestalt approach and to assess your further training possibilities. Starts: Autumn 2007

The Diploma Course

These three years develop and extend the work of the foundation course, providing a thorough grounding in Gestalt psychotherapy theory and a rigorous training in Gestalt psychotherapy skills and clinical practice. It is possible to join this training at any stage, provided you have undertaken sufficient equivalent training and have some experience of Gestalt. Starts: Autumn 2008
