Dr Elizabeth Cooksey
Elizabeth originally qualified and worked as a research scientist in higher education and the NHS, then trained in the 1980s as a Gestalt psychotherapist with Gestalt Training Services. She has since worked
in a variety of capacities in social work, primary care and for Edinburgh City Council, and also ran the University of Edinburgh Staff Counselling Service for several years. She now has a private practice as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer.
Helen Kennedy
Helen has been in private practice since 1985, working as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. She originally
qualified as a teacher and sees her current work as a development of her deep interest in education. Helen has trained widely in counselling and psychotherapy. She has a particular interest in creating community and has been
involved for 27 years in a community network in Scotland committed to enhancing creative, spiritual and psychological growth.
Dr Karen Rookwood
Karen qualified as a doctor in 1978 and worked in the NHS for 11 years thereafter. She has a wide variety of health care experience, especially in mental health and primary care, and is trained both as a psychiatrist and as a Gestalt psychotherapist. She now practices as a trainer, supervisor and psychotherapist, and offers consultancy to other health care workers.
Colin White
Colin is a UKCP accredited psychotherapist, and has a practice in individual and group psychotherapy, supervision
and training. He is also a qualified dramatherapist. Before training in dramatherapy and Gestalt psychotherapy, he worked for several years in adult education.
Guinevere Williams
Guin trained as a Gestalt psychotherapist after working for many years as a social worker and trainer. She has
also trained in organisational systems and development and in the principles and practice of supervision. She offers consultation and non-managerial supervision to organisations undergoing change, supervision of practice to therapists and counsellors, and has a small private psychotherapy practice.
