A Kaleidoscope of the Mind: Working with Dreams in Psychotherapy

This two-day workshop will enable counsellors/therapists from all modalities to work with dreams with individuals and groups. It will teach different approaches to working with dreams using creative and experiential methods involving the participants’ own dream material. It is intended to support the counsellor/therapist to become familiar with dream work so that s/he can hear the client’s communication through dreams and integrate this with ongoing counselling/therapy work.

Gestalt Therapy as Embodied Relational Practice

Working with Depression

This workshop is intended for counsellors and therapists from any modality who would like to increase their understanding and clinical skills in working with clients who suffer from depression. Depression can be understood, from a Gestalt theoretical perspective, as a fixed organisation of the relational field. The focus of this two-day workshop will therefore be on the client-therapist relationship and its relevance in the diagnosis and treatment of depression. Close attention will then be given to the ongoing therapeutic relationship and its impact on the work, as well as the process and organising principles of depression. Working Effectively with Post-Traumatic Stress

This will be a practical, hands-on workshop with opportunities for Gestalt psychotherapists to undertake supervised practice within the group and to discuss theoretical issues with specific reference to neuroscientific research.
