Personal Development
Psychotherapy and Counselling
EGI staff, trainees, graduates and colleagues offer therapy and counselling for individuals, couples, families and groups. All therapists are independent practitioners and, as such, all arrangements – including fees – are contracted between clients and individual practitioners. Reduced fees may be negotiated.
Weekly Therapy Group
Facilitated by Kirsteen Greenholm
This is an ongoing therapy group for anyone interested in pursuing their personal development. It is an opportunity for you to take a fresh look at yourself, your life and your relationships, and to experiment with being different in a safe and supportive setting.
Working in a group has particular advantages over individual therapy:
• exploring relationships with different kinds of people;
• a shared sense of purpose and journey, and a possibility of ongoing friendships and support;
• encountering the shared nature of our human experience;
• a live opportunity to work through issues related with being in groups, such as competitiveness, rivalry, difference, belonging, sexuality and group dynamics; and
• a particularly effective environment for trying out new possibilities of contact and relating.
Dates: Wednesdays
Times: 6.00pm – 8.30pm
Cost: £30.00 per session
Please contact us if you would like to join this group or you would like more information.
Being and Becoming
with Helen Kennedy and Lannie Peyton
This new ongoing group will run for five weekends over the year. The emphasis will be on developing our capacity to be fully engaged in the present moment and staying with our direct experience. To this end, we will focus on personal exploration and self-awareness using dialogue, body process, meditation, dreams, artwork and anything available which will enrich and enliven our process.
The group is intended to provide a nourishing and supportive place for each member to explore their experience and experiment with new possibilities for living. It will provide a good experiential introduction to Gestalt and will be useful for anyone who is interested in Gestalt Therapy in its broadest form, whether as a support in their personal lives or as potential for GP professional development.
The leadership of this group will be shared alternately by Lannie and Helen and sometimes co-led in order that the group will experience both male and female co-working partnership and single working.
