Foundation Course in Gestalt Therapy

This one-year training is for those who are interested in developing their counselling or therapy skills and in learning about the Gestalt approach. The Foundation Course can be taken as a stand-alone one-year training. It also constitutes the first year of a four-year training in Gestalt Psychotherapy, which can lead to GPTI accreditation and UKCP registration. The course provides a thorough introduction to the principles of Gestalt therapy theory and practice. There are three elements to the training: theoretical study, therapy skills training and personal development. All three are taught within a framework of group experiential learning, and are of equal importance. In our training we aim to create an environment in which it is possible to explore how we relate to the world; how we make meaning of our experience; the choices we make; and our potential for growth and change.
